Oadby and Wigston Borough Council have resolved to grant planning permission for the delivery of a further 350 new homes at Bloor Homes’ Cottage Farm development at Oadby. Permission for the first phase of 150 dwellings development was secured via an appeal in 2013 (and successfully defended in subsequent legal challenges). That development is now well progressed and the Borough Council subsequently sought to allocate a substantial extension for the delivery of a minimum of 250 additional dwellings. Our Masterplan and application submission for the wider site clearly demonstrated its capacity to accommodate an extra 100 dwellings, and highlighted the wide socio-economic and environmental benefits that would result from its comprehensive development.
