Glasgow's Riverside Regeneration

We are delighted to announce that we have submitted detailed landscape proposals to support a planning application for the City Wharf scheme in Glasgow. The development will consist of 503 new residential apartments and 491 new student beds with over 4000sqft of new commercial space.

The site is located on the Clyde Waterfront within walking distance of Glasgow City Centre, and will undoubtably provide enhancements to the local area through a new public plaza, active travel connections and a new linear park; unlocking a key site in Glasgow’s Clyde Waterfront.

The landscape proposals utilise the theme of the historic site; taking inspiration from the names, materials and brands of the site’s industrial history. The site was an important stockyard used to store an array of Glasgow’s manufactured exports including timber, stone, whiskey and steel. These references from the past were used to to create site geometry, patterning and text; creating a sense of place based upon the rich site history and the family names that had once worked on the Riverfront.

The landscape proposals were created in a way that would help to provide a better way of living. We proposed social spaces equipped with storage for book swaps and movable chairs, community led grow areas and exercise equipment that would provide opportunities for social cohesion, leading to an improved Health and Wellbeing for future residents.
