Introduction

We were asked to look how we could carve a new western entrance through the former limestone cliffs into the Ashmere Site in Ebbsfleet Garden City. Our response was to create a series of cascading terraces that would give us the opportunity to restore the natural habitat whislt creating a visually striking sculptural landscape.

We created a series of test panels for the wall which would give the client, local authority and adjacent developer the opportunity to review before we pushed the button on the whole piece.

During this process we had a late night in the cold, testing lighting with our engineers and making sure we had everything ready before we commenced the construction phase.
